If you have the chance to see Les Misérables live at the Keller Auditorium this week, take it. Rearrange your schedule, find a babysitter, make a night of it—just go.
After going on opening night, I can confidently say this was the best cast I’ve ever experienced (and I’ve seen this show multiple times). From the very first note, it was clear this production was something special. The talent on that stage was unreal, the orchestra was flawless, and even the lighting design somehow felt like a character of its own, carrying emotion through every scene.
And Act II? I was not okay. Full, uncontrollable tears the entire time.

What stood out the most in this production was how deeply connected you felt to every single character. That’s not always the case with a show this large and layered, but here, every story hit exactly the way it’s meant to. You weren’t just watching it, you were in it.
There were a few performances that completely leveled me. Fantine was devastating in the best way. She was raw, emotional, and impossible to look away from. Jean Valjean carried the show with so much depth and quiet strength, while Javert brought an intensity that made every scene feel heavier (in the best way). And Eponine? Heartbreaking. Absolutely heartbreaking.

If you’re somehow unfamiliar, Les Misérables follows the story of Jean Valjean, a man trying to rebuild his life after prison, while being relentlessly pursued by Inspector Javert. Set against the backdrop of revolutionary France, the show weaves together multiple lives—love, sacrifice, justice, and redemption—all colliding in ways that are both tragic and deeply beautiful. It’s big, emotional storytelling at its absolute finest.
This production didn’t just tell that story, it honored it. Every piece, from the performances to the technical elements, felt intentional and elevated.
I’ve always loved Les Misérables, but this cast reminded me why. It’s powerful, it’s emotional, and when it’s done this well, it stays with you long after the final note.
If you have the opportunity to see this tour, don’t think twice.
