I just saw Six for the second time—and let me tell you, it was every bit as electric as the first… if not more.
This isn’t your traditional musical. It’s part concert, part theatrical spectacle, and somehow still delivers more emotion, history, and girl-power energy in 80 minutes than most shows do in three hours.
The entire cast and onstage band were phenomenal. From the moment the queens stepped onstage, the energy was off the charts. The choreography, vocals, and lighting all worked together to create a full-blown immersive experience that felt like the world’s coolest, most theatrical pop concert.

When Jane Seymour, played by Kelly Denice Taylor, sang Heart of Stone, it was hands down, one of the most powerful vocal performances I’ve witnessed this entire Broadway season. Her delivery was flawless—goosebumps, tears, and collective awe from the entire audience. Her voice was just that good.
Catherine Howard, played by Alize Cruz, absolutely killed this performance of All You Wanna Do. What started as a playful, bubblegum-pop anthem slowly transformed into one of the most haunting moments of the night. The absolute silence in the theater afterward said everything. Her emotional unraveling was executed with chilling perfection leaving everyone completely speechless as they grasped the deeper meaning to the number.
Anna of Cleves, played by Danielle Mendoza, DELIVERED her solo: Get Down . Whew! She brought such a raw, punk-rock energy to her role that made her number feel like a full arena concert. Her confidence and stage presence were magnetic. The edge to her voice in contrast with the other queens truly made her stand out, and her humor delivery was flawless!

Another crowd favorite was, of course, House of Holbein. Still one of the most fun and visually exciting parts of the show, and always gets the crowd cheering and laughing. The lighting, costumes, and humor gave the audience a fun little reset right in the middle of all the intensity.
While every queen brought something unforgettable to the stage, those moments above lingered long after the show ended.
And let’s talk about the visuals: the costumes were stunning. Each queen’s outfit was modern-meets-historical with rhinestone-studded drama, power stances, and sparkle to spare. The lighting design? Absolutely next level. The way it synced with the beat, set the tone, and heightened key moments gave the show a true arena-concert feel.
Also, a huge shoutout to the onstage band (The Ladies in Waiting)—they are a full part of the experience, with infectious energy and incredible skill. You could feel the music as much as hear it, and their presence elevated every single number.
Never seen/listened to Six? If you’re expecting a linear plot like Hamilton or a big production musical, know that Six is more of a theatrical concert experience than a traditional musical- but in all the best ways. It’s loud, it’s empowering, it’s sharply funny—and it absolutely demands your attention from start to finish.
Whether you’re a musical theater junkie or someone who just loves a badass concert-style vibe, this one is a must-see. In every sense, Six is a revolutionary musical that redefines historical storytelling with a modern, empowering twist- and I highly recommend experiencing it if you have the chance!
